Built on a foundation of core computer science subjects including programming, networking, data management, and systems analysis, the program then dives deep into the theoretical and practical dimensions of information and digital security. The Digital Systems Security major spans operating systems security, physical security, file and data protection, heterogeneous computing, systems architecture, cryptography and its real-world applications, and network and telecommunications security. The degree is accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS) at the Professional level.

The Global Year 1 program, a UK Higher National Certificate, is designed for students who want to accelerate their undergraduate education, saving time and money while building a solid academic base for an international degree. The program allows students to complete up to one year of their undergraduate degree remotely from home and then progress to an overseas campus to complete the remainder of their degree.

After the completion of the Smart Program, students progress to the University of Wollongong to study the remaining core and elective courses on campus and complete their degrees.
