Built on strong computer science fundamentals, including programming, data management, networking, and human-computer interaction, the program then specialises in the development of video games and applications across computers, mobile phones, tablets, and wearable devices. The Game and Mobile Development major covers mobile application development, interactive computer graphics, game engine essentials, and virtual and augmented reality, while also cultivating the creative side of the craft through visualisation, interaction, and communication skills. Accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS) at the Professional level, graduates go on to careers as game programmers, game designers, mobile application developers, UX/UI designers, animators, and video game producers in Australia and worldwide.

The Global Year 1 program, a UK Higher National Certificate, is designed for students who want to accelerate their undergraduate education, saving time and money while building a solid academic base for an international degree. The program allows students to complete up to one year of their undergraduate degree remotely from home and then progress to an overseas campus to complete the remainder of their degree.

After the completion of the Smart Program, students progress to the University of Wollongong to study the remaining core and elective courses on campus and complete their degrees.
