IELTS, also known as International English Language Testing System, is an English language proficiency test for non-English speaking students. Qualifying for IELTS is one of the primary criteria for admission into most universities globally, managed by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia, and Cambridge Assessment English.
It costs INR 14,700 to take the IELTS exam.
IELTS score is valid up to 2 years from the date of release of the scorecard.
You should take the IELTS exam 6-9 months before you plan to go overseas for your studies. This will give you time to retake the exam in case you are not able to get the required score the first time around.
