Program Overview

Students build strong computer science foundations in programming, networking, data management, and systems analysis before specialising in the identification and mitigation of malicious activities carried out by hackers. The Cyber Security major covers both the technical and political dimensions of the field, including blockchain, cryptocurrency, systems security, Internet of Things (IoT) security, obfuscation, and reverse engineering. Students also develop penetration testing skills for defensive purposes and are prepared for ethical hacking certification. The degree is accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS) at the Professional level.

Program Structure

Year 1: UK Higher National Certificate

The Global Year 1 program, a UK Higher National Certificate, is designed for students who want to accelerate their undergraduate education, saving time and money while building a solid academic base for an international degree. The program allows students to complete up to one year of their undergraduate degree remotely from home and then progress to an overseas campus to complete the remainder of their degree.
