This course offers a comprehensive overview and in-depth discussions on the principles and technologies of computer network security. Topics covered include data encryption, authentication, cryptographic hashing, key management, Internet security protocols, port scanning, penetration testing, web session hijacking, cross-site scripting attacks, and buffer-overflow attacks. You will learn modern cryptographic techniques and their application in building secure Internet network protocols. Additionally, the course introduces security tools used for ethical hacking and identifying network and system vulnerabilities.
The UniSmarter is created in partnership with Navitas. The program develops a solid foundation for overseas studies by accustoming students to the university’s academic standards. The program takes place over 4 months during which they study 3 or 4 modules or equivalent to 1 term of undergraduate studies. After the completion of the Smart Program, students progress to Griffith University via Griffith College to study the remaining core and elective courses on campus and complete the degree.
