The Bachelor of Information Technology program at James Cook University is designed to equip students with the technical and problem-solving skills needed to excel in various information technology roles. The curriculum covers areas such as computer programming, software development, database management, and systems analysis. Students will gain proficiency in coding, network management, and IT project development. The program emphasizes both theoretical understanding and hands-on practical experience, making graduates well-prepared for careers in software engineering, systems administration, and technology-related roles.

The Global Online Accelerator Program is designed for students who want to accelerate their undergraduate education, saving time and money while building a solid academic base in Australia, Singapore or the UK. The program allows students to complete up to a term of their undergraduate degree remotely from home and then progress to campus to complete the remainder of their degree. In order to advance to James Cook University students must achieve an overall Pass in all modules of the Global Online Accelerator Program. Students will study the following 4 modules with The WorldGrad.
After the completion of the Smart Program, students progress to James Cook University or the University of Wollongong via UOW College to study the remaining core and elective courses on campus and complete the degree.
