It involves collaborative development by multiple individuals and deals with software that is both extensive and intricate, such as operating systems like Windows, Linux, and Android, office software, and flight control systems. On the other hand, computer scientists concentrate on the theoretical foundations and practical approaches to computation and its various applications. They are responsible for designing techniques and tools, as well as writing programs for computer applications. These applications can span various domains, including computer-controlled machinery, information management and big data analysis, mobile applications, analysis of stock market trends, game design, visualisation of chemical reactions, neural network development, computational geometry for robot navigation, patient monitoring in healthcare facilities, and many other diverse areas.

The Global Online Accelerator Program is designed for students who want to accelerate their undergraduate education, saving time and money while building a solid academic base in Australia, Singapore or the UK. The program allows students to complete up to a term of their undergraduate degree remotely from home and then progress to campus to complete the remainder of their degree. In order to advance to UOW College via University of Wollongong students must achieve an overall Pass in all modules of the Global Online Accelerator Program. Students will study the following 4 modules with The WorldGrad.
1. WGIT128 - Introduction to Web Technology
2. WGIT127 - Networks and Communications
3. WGIT111 - Programming Fundamentals
4. WGIT114 - System Analysis
After the completion of the Smart Program, students progress to the University of Wollongong via UOW College to study the remaining core and elective courses on campus and complete the degree.
