Network designers play a crucial role in facilitating the exchange of data and applications between governments and businesses, allowing them to gain a competitive advantage through the utilisation of tools like social media and cloud computing. Regardless of whether it’s a global corporation with multiple offices or a small startup, IT networks serve as the means for individuals to stay connected and access the latest information. Network managers ensure the reliable operation of these networks, tailoring their performance to meet the specific requirements of the organisation and safeguarding them against external threats.
By pursuing a study in network design and management, you will acquire the necessary skills to construct and oversee networks that support businesses and governments in today’s fiercely competitive global market. In your second year of study, you will have the opportunity to choose a specialisation after completing a set of core subjects that bridge our computer science, IT, and information systems degrees.
