The field of web development offers immense opportunities for businesses and individuals, especially in today’s digital age where online communication and commerce are thriving. Web design has become an essential aspect of both personal and business endeavours. Customised websites gain a competitive advantage in the digital media economy through elements like animated graphics, strategically placed keywords, user-friendly interfaces, usability testing, and efficient information flows. Web designers and developers utilise clean and maintainable code to create visually appealing web architectures that are responsive to evolving business needs and customer preferences. Various career paths are available, including web developers, web designers, mobile developers, web database administrators, and web analysts.
In this program, you’ll have the opportunity to choose your major in the second year after completing a set of foundational subjects that connect computer science, IT, and information systems degrees. As you delve into the fundamentals of computer science and IT, such as programming, problem-solving, network and communications, web technology, data management, system analysis, human-computer interaction, and project management, you’ll discover your strengths and interests. Additionally, you’ll be involved in a final-year capstone team project. Moreover, you have the option to pursue a double degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science, Creative Arts, or Business, allowing you to gain a comprehensive understanding of technology by using industry products from Microsoft, Apple, Oracle, SAP, and Cisco.

The Global Online Accelerator Program is designed for students who want to accelerate their undergraduate education, saving time and money while building a solid academic base in Australia, Singapore or the UK. The program allows students to complete up to a term of their undergraduate degree remotely from home and then progress to campus to complete the remainder of their degree. In order to advance to UOW College via University of Wollongong students must achieve an overall Pass in all modules of the Global Online Accelerator Program. Students will study the following 4 modules with The WorldGrad.
1. WGIT128 - Introduction to Web Technology
2. WGIT127 - Networks and Communications
3. WGIT111 - Programming Fundamentals
4. WGIT114 - System Analysis
After the completion of the Smart Program, students progress to the University of Wollongong via UOW College to study the remaining core and elective courses on campus and complete the degree.
