This program provides graduates with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate modern business settings by incorporating research and integration. By actively analysing the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, students are encouraged to think critically about the economic, social, and environmental aspects of business and professional conduct. They also develop suggestions for sustainable practices in their respective fields. The degree’s structure results from input from various stakeholders, including industry experts and professional associations.
This major introduces students to the fundamental principles of finance theory, such as the importance of time in monetary transactions, the relationship between risk and return, making decisions about capital budgeting and capital structure, and utilising financial tools to make informed choices within the Australian institutional framework. Students will explore how corporations make investment, financing, and dividend decisions, gaining an understanding of financial management practices from the perspectives of both large and small businesses. Additionally, the major introduces the concept of analysing investments within the property sector, focusing on the unique aspects of income-generating properties. It delves into the performance of these properties, their loans, and their taxation, utilising various investment techniques. The major also covers risk analysis methods applicable to income-generating properties and portfolios.
The UniSmarter Pre-Masters is created in partnership with Navitas. It is designed for students who are unable to meet the admission criteria set by universities, to help them bridge academic and English skill gaps. Successful completion of the Smart Program is deemed equivalent to meeting the university’s admissions requirements. The program takes 4 months to complete, during which students study 4 modules. With our student-friendly curriculum and award-winning 1-1 tutor program, students will be well on the way to their dream destination.
After the completion of the Smart Program, students progress to Western Sydney University to commence their Master’s degree.
