This major focuses on the theories and technologies involved in developing distributed applications for handheld mobile devices. Students who complete this major will gain a solid understanding of advanced principles related to mobile hardware devices, data storage and transmission, and communication networks. They will also be able to identify, analyse, and propose solutions to real-world problems in the mobile domain. During the process of devising these solutions, students will consider principles of user interface design as well as professional and ethical issues, particularly those concerning the security and privacy of user data and user behaviour related to mobile devices and their applications.
The UniSmarter is created in partnership with Navitas. The program develops a solid foundation for overseas studies by accustoming students to the university’s academic standards.
