Throughout the year, there will be a focus on enhancing critical thinking and writing skills, with core modules dedicated to employability and current business topics. Students will be guided in developing personal applications, CVs, and cover letters to support their career planning and future employability. As part of the program, students will be required to conduct an independent literature review on a contemporary business issue of their choice, allowing them to cultivate independent thinking, learning, and the application of knowledge to real-world business challenges.

The Global Year-1 program is designed for students who want to accelerate their undergraduate education, saving time and money while building a solid academic base in Australia, Singapore or the UK. The program allows students to complete up to one year of their undergraduate degree remotely from home and then progress to campus to complete the remainder of their degree. In order to advance to Northumbria University students must achieve an overall Pass (with no failed modules) in The WorldGrad's Global Year-1 program. Students will study the following 8 modules with The WorldGrad.
After the completion of the Smart Program, students progress to the Northumbria University to study the remaining core and elective courses on campus and complete their degrees. All students who complete the degree successfully, qualify for post-study work rights. Further information on the On-Campus program structure and courses are available with our Admissions Team.
