With this degree, managerial practice encompasses a wide range of roles, reflecting the diverse nature of the business world. Some managers choose to specialise in specific areas such as marketing, finance, human resources, or manufacturing. Others serve as staff specialists, providing information for colleagues to act upon, while some act as line managers, implementing decisions and overseeing resulting actions. Senior managers typically adopt a more generalised perspective. Management majors at the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business have the opportunity to explore all these managerial modes before embarking on their careers.
