The CIS program at Concordia-Chicago offers a practical and theoretical foundation that is adaptable to the fast-paced changes in the field. It is important for a computer information systems program to have a professional aspect, as well as a theoretical foundation that allows for flexibility in a rapidly evolving industry. At CUC, our courses combine practical exercises in introductory classes and collaborative project work in advanced classes. As you advance in your degree, you will take foundation courses and additional supplementary courses. These courses cover areas such as hardware and operating systems, analysis and design, database management, programming and problem-solving, electronic business, and management information systems.
