The Bachelor of Science in Human Services program is a multidisciplinary course that equips students to evaluate the social and developmental requirements of individuals and families, particularly those who are considered at-risk or facing difficulties. The program trains students to either directly provide the necessary services to address their needs or to organise and oversee the provision of high-quality services by others.
By pursuing this major, students will be prepared for entry-level positions and future career growth in the human services field across various public and private organisations and environments. These include social welfare agencies at the federal, state, and local levels, as well as child care, youth services, recreational organisations, schools, and other educational establishments. The Early Intervention concentration also prepares students for employment as Early Intervention developmental specialists.
