The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Information Systems (CIS) – Networking offered by the School of Math, Science and Engineering at the University of the Incarnate Word equips students with a diverse range of knowledge and practical skills needed to adapt to the rapidly evolving field. Graduates of the CIS program at UIW possess the ability to strategise, develop, construct, and manage computer systems and networks for various organisations. Students in CIS learn to install, configure, program, safeguard, administer, and utilise hardware and software systems. Moreover, they acquire essential interpersonal abilities, such as teamwork, decision-making, visual modelling, project management, and effective communication in both technical and non-technical contexts.
The concentration, Networking, offers in-depth knowledge of digital networks and network services essential to organisations of all sizes. Students gain expertise in areas like email systems, cloud computing, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. They acquire skills in installation, management, and maintenance related to the field.

The All American Undergraduate Program is designed for students who want to accelerate their undergraduate education, saving time and money while building a solid academic base in the USA. The program allows students to complete up to one year of their undergraduate degree remotely from home and then progress to campus to complete the remainder of their degree. In order to advance to University of the Incarnate Word, students must achieve a minimum GPA of 2.5 (with a grade of C or better in each subject) in The WorldGrad's All American Undergraduate Program. Students will study up to 10 modules (up to 30 credits) with The WorldGrad from the following list of subjects.
After the completion of the Smart Program, students progress to the University of the Incarnate Word to study the remaining core and elective courses on campus and complete their degrees. Once on campus, students will be eligible for CPT and OPT during and after completing their studies.
